ABSTRACT. The analysis of professional and scientific activity in the preparation of a bachelor of technical field was defined in the research and a complex of professionally important qualities (PIQ) for selection in a master’s course was made which is based on it. A system of the PIQ for the future master’s in terms of its activities was developed. A scale for assessing the level of development of the PIQ of bachelor’s was determined and described. To implement the basic complex of the PIQ of the future master’s, the mapping of information in the polar coordinate system was suggested. The complex of PIQ was justified and the basic (minimum required) level of PIQ, which the future master of technical field should possess, was defined. Based on the expert survey, the basic complex of the PIQ of bachelor’s of technical field for the admission to the master’s course was constructed.
